Charlie is a beautiful 2-3 yr old tri color male who was found wandering with a pit bull in the Ottawa county area. This young boy is a sweet heart. Someone has spent a lot of time with him, because he is gentle, so very friendly and just wants to be with you. His eyes are the deep brown soulful eyes that will warm your heart. His color is a deep mahogany and glows after a bath. Charlie is well behaved for car rides, baths, and pretty much anything you ask him to do. He is friendly with the other dogs and enjoys belly rubs. He is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and on a flea/heart worm preventative. He is a sweet boy and it would be nice to see him go to a home where he could be the center of attention. Charlie is very good natured and easy going and has hand no trouble adjusting to his new surroundings. At some point in his life, it appears he has experienced some "unnecessary roughness". When you raise your voice at him with a firm NO he is submissive and startled. He is great with our two females and is fine with our cats. He will bark at them, wanting to play, but will respond to "Charlie No" and stops doing whatever he was doing, which is AMAZING for a Basset! Charlie is a very good boy, he really seems like he wants to please us and is more oriented toward people than other dogs, although he does very well with them. He loves nothing more than to lay on his back and get his belly rubbed, and just be with you. Charlie is great on car rides and is just a mellow guy! He would make a great addition to any family. He is being fostered in Howard, OH.
