Meet Watson!  This handsome boy is 6 years old and ready for his new furever family.  Watson comes to OBHR from a family that took excellent care of him and loved him very very much.  There came a time that he was not a fan of their small children and when their family grew with a new baby, they felt it was unfair to keep him crated or separated from family activities, etc.  They made the very difficult decision to re home him so that a family with older children, perhaps that are home more than away could enjoy him for the rest of his life.  Watson likes to play ball, and surprisingly, he likes to swim.  He is a true velcro dog, his foster is working on some boundaries with personal space.  He tends to want to sit completely on your lap to "hug you."  He walks well on a leash with a harness as the best choice as with a basic collar, he had the tendency to pull a bit.  He is crate trained, though he does not have to be crated and knows sit and stay commands for sure.  Watson would do best in a home with at least one other dog and is friendly with cats and shows curiosity to outside critters but is non reactive otherwise.  He is house broken and as most Bassets, vocal when he has to "go potty."  If you are looking for an amazing dog to add to your family, Watson is your boy!
