Meet Roscoe!!! Roscoe is about 5 years old and is in need of a new foster or forever home BUT Roscoe needs a very specific home so please read everything before you apply!
Right now one of the requirements is you must be in/near Columbus to bring Roscoe back to our vet for further vetting at our expense. Adopters not in the Columbus area at this time will not be considered. Roscoe is heart worm positive that we will pay to treat BUT he will need to go to a home where for the next few months he can be kept quiet and minimal exercise. He can only go outside to potty on a leash. He will need to be crated if necessary to prevent him from running through the house. Roscoe cannot be neutered until after his treatment is complete. OBHR will also pay for that. ALSO Roscoe cannot go to a home with young kids. Teen and up only. We believe Roscoe was abused as he is a sweet dog and will let the kennel staff love on him but he does not like a lot of head contact. Roscoe will probably eventually be a dog that loves to be loved on and cuddled but that may be several months down the road. He needs to learn to love and trust you first. He will need some space in the beginning. But please don’t let this all scare you off. Roscoe is a sweetheart and a great dog, he just needs someone willing to let him get to know you. Roscoe’s adoption fee is $250.
If you think you can give Roscoe the perfect home, or can help us as a foster please apply on our website and shoot us an email. Ohiobassetrescue.com
Also please consider donating to help us offset the anticipated $1500 vet expense.
All OBHR dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots, checked for heart worm and on heart guard and flea preventative. If interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application at www.ohiobassetrescue.com today.
