Our dogs are located throughout the state of Ohio and parts of IN, MI, PA and KY.

Penny (short for Penelope) is a gorgeous 11 month old mixed breed girl looking for a forever home! We were told she is a basset-dachshund mix but there might be some beagle in there? 

She is beautiful penny color and weighs in at 34 pounds. She came to OBHR from a family who could not keep her due to restrictions as to how many dogs were allowed in their condo. She seems very calm and gets along great with other dogs! 

Penny is currently being fostered in Hanoverton, Ohio 

Update from Penny's foster family:  Penny loves to run , chase her foster brothers and play ball.  Her foster mom believes she could compete in agility training and be the first basset/dachshund to win.  She is even agile enough to squeeze thru the cat door to check on her new feline friends.  She is doing very well with going potty outside and at night sleeps soundly in her crate.  She gives kisses and likes to snuggle in the evening when she is worn out from the days activities.  She will do best in a home with lots of activity!
