2026 CALENDAR CONTEST!
IF YOU LOVE IT, BOOP IT!
Get those cameras ready for our 2026 Calendar Contest! Runs May 17-June 29. This is our yearly contest where the winners will be featured on next year's OBHR calendar! All bassets and basset mixes are welcome, no need to be from Ohio. And non basset OBHR alumni are welcome!
The dog(s) who take first place will be on the cover of next year's calendar and the 12 runners up will be on the months. We also try to get all non winning entries on the back cover!
This is a fundraiser so there is an entry fee and we ask you to share your entry to raise money for OBHR! $5 to enter and minimum $1 per bid after! Last year we raised $11,600 and our goal this year is to beat that! This helps up pay our vetting and boarding bills!
Remember best photos are taken in LANDSCAPE or HORIZONAL. We cannot print portrait photos without cropping out most of the dog.

Bassetfest 2025!
Get ready for Bassetfest 2025! Same place, Pizzuro Dog Park, Gahanna OH!
Saturday Oct 11, 2025 11-3pm.
This is our biggest in person fundraiser each year! We have a wonderful auction, tons of raffle baskets, a 50/50 auction, costume contest, largest paws and ears contest, paw print painting, nail trims and the ever popular BASSET RACES!
It is a rain or shine event, as we were a little damp last year but that did not stop our wonderful followers from coming out and making it a huge success! Last year we had 270 people and 162 bassets check in!

Charity Ticket Auction Quarter Raffle!
The Northmont Area Sales Network Charity Ticket Auction is Thursday Aug 7 at 7pm benefitting OBHR! Admission is $3 and all tickets cost a quarter!
Located at 4170 Old Springfield Rd in Vandalia, OH this is a 21 and up event (VFW rules). Items presented for raffle are donated by vendors including Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Origami Owl, 31, Glam Glass by Anita, and MORE!
Meal and snacks are available for purchase with proceeds going to OBHR, and the VFW has additional food and drinks for purchase. No outside food or drinks please!
Doors open at 6:15! Crowd friendly bassets are welcome to come join us!

We have our clothing on sale in sizes up to 5XL! The colors available are listed for each product on the website! Orders are mailed out at the end of each month! Please order early! We are now using a print on demand company which is allowing us to offer more clothing and color options! We have T's, V-necks, long sleeve, sweatshirts, hoodies, and zip up hoodies!
Keep checking back as we add new styles a few times a year!
