| Trey is approximately 4-5 yrs old. He was rescued from a shelter in Highland County. This dear boy is a true sweetheart. Everyone who has met him says he's easygoing, super friendly and an all around nice guy. At some point in Trey's, life he had an accident which required amputation of his back left leg. Trey learned how to adapt and moves around quite well with only three legs. In fact, a home visit will be required by an OBHR representative prior to adoption to see if fencing at his future home is adequate. How fast can a three-legged basset run? Well, Trey has proven himself to be quite the escape artist! He certainly does not consider himself challenged and can pull a disappearing act fairly quickly. Trey will require a special home where someone will be diligent about keeping him safe. A home with small children would not work as he would quickly work his way past them at the door. He must have a companion dog so he doesn't have to run away to find friends. Other than his Houdini acts, he is a wonderful dog - very loving and quite sociable. He adjusts to new dogs and environments quickly.
