Anyone for a girls night out? Beautiful 6 year old Susie Q, loves hanging out with the girls! Her ideal forever home would be in a home with only females. She is not relaxed when there are males around, and often barks or howls from a distance from them, but means no harm. Possibly with a lot of patience, her heart would be won over with a mommy and daddy in the household. Susie Q was a stray that was seen wandering for a month before a kind person coaxed her to safety. She gets along with other dogs, and likes kids too. She will often greet you on her back, politely asking for a belly rub. Susie Q has adapted to being an indoor princess quite well. She loves sleeping on the couch and has no problem sharing her foster mom's bed with multiple bassets. Susie Q gets very excited at meal time. She is so happy to be served a bowl of food. She is very thin, so I know she had a rough time on the streets trying to find enough to eat. She will be ready for adoption mid-September, when her spay is complete. She is heartworm negative, is up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.
