Lark is a 6 yr old tri-color female who was sadly found in her home with his friends Lizzie and Murphy after their care taker passed away. They managed to survive by knocking over a bag of dog food left on the kitchen table until they were rescued more than a week later. If that ordeal wasn't sad and heart breaking enough, Lark and her two friends had to live in the shelter for a month until all legal proceedings were handled. Lark is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and on a flea/heart worm preventative. Lark really enjoys attention and still seems to be sad about what has happened to her. She will happily trot beside you for a walk, but you can see in her eyes she is still very saddened by the events. Lark needs to find a family who can help her heal, by showering her with love and affection. Please consider giving this sweetie this chance.

Lark has settled into foster care. Lark is a lively dog who is very social. She loves to play with any dog willing and therefore will not be placed as an only dog. As far as we know she has always lived with other dogs. She will play with dogs much larger than herself but has not been exposed to toy breeds. She is very easy going and just likes to play and cuddle. Lark has an unusual face and a thick coat. She is housetrained and does not tend to get on the furniture.
