Roscoe was dumped at the shelter in 2010 by his family who could no longer care for him. Since that time, Roscoe has been shuffled in and out of foster homes and boarding facilities. Roscoe needs to find that special someone who will understand his longing desire to be with "his person." Roscoe is now 6 years old and LOVES people!! He wants and needs a home who can involve him in their daily activities where he will have limited alone time. He doesn't want to be crated while you run to the post office, instead he'd like to ride along with you. Why not? If he could drive, there is no one he'd rather spend his day with than you, so with the roles reversed, can you be this person? If you can give him that special attention he will be your best friend, no questions asked. He is not fond of other dogs and needs to be in a home without them.

Roscoe is house broken, crate trained, can sit, stay and shake with both paws. He is a somewhat picky eater and prefers something other than dog food for his meal. Bury the tiniest scrap of people food in his dog dish and he will carefully move each piece away just to get to that one tiny morsel. Roscoe is a very intelligent dog, not only has he's learned tricks, he's great on a leash and seems to desire positive reinforcement. Tell him he's a good boy and he will happily trot next to you enjoying every minute of the walk. Roscoe DESPERATELY needs some stability in his life. He bonds quickly with you and takes it personally if you can't show him that same dedication and love. Roscoe is a great dog looking for a loving someone who can help him feel secure. The constant shuffling has left him feeling anxious and insecure. There are some cases in rescue that a dog truly needs "rescued", Roscoe is that dog. If you can be that special someone who will unconditionally love, enjoys long walks, and needs a loyal companion, Roscoe is the dog for you. Please give him a chance to prove his love.
