Landon's story is one of the saddest you'll ever hear. His family took him to the dog pound at 10 yrs old after having him since he was puppy, their reasoning? They had a new baby and he had an "accident" in the babies room. Shame on them. Maybe he was "protecting the baby" by marking a spot so no intruders would pass. Either way, Landon is heart broken. When the transporter went to pound to pick him up his teeth was chattering so loudly out of fear that they were making a ticking noise. Little Landon is very petite for a male basset and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. At 10 yrs old he just wants someone to be as loyal and loving as he's been. Landon loves car rides. He sits quietly in the passenger seat just watching the passing cars. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on a flea/heartworm preventative.
Update 10/23/2010
Louie is house trained to a dog door.
He is crate trained and goes in for his meals on command.
He does like to chase squirrels in the yard and barks at them quite a bit.
He is pretty quiet in the house.
He would prefer to be an only dog, but does get along with my Gang of dogs.
He is dealthy afraid of fast hand movements, brooms, the leash and men.
He would love to be an only dog with a fenced yard and someone to love on him all day.
He is 10 but looks and acts much younger.
He doesn't fight grooming or nails, but is not happy while it is being done.
