Carlos has a tail that always wags. Earlier this year Carlos had back surgery to remove a lesion on one of his disks. The lesion had caused him to lose all mobility in his rear legs..but he could and did still continue to wag his tail. He came through the surgery wagging his tail and with a grin on his face. While healing from the surgery he was struck with some kind of gastric disorder that caused him to lose weight daily..but guess what ..he still wagged his tail. Carlos is back in his foster home now and doing fantastic. He has a healthy appetite and has gained back his weight. He is always following me like a puppy. Carlos listens and learns whatever he is told. He is a calm dog and always ready to trot along with you where ever you want to go. He truly wants to be someones very best friend and he will always wave you on ..with the wag of his tail.

Carlos continues to wait for his forever family to find him. Carlos is a very patient dog anyway. Carlos is a survivor. He waits each night for me to finally sit down and ask him onto my lap. He then happily snoozes and enjoys the constant touch of a human. Carlos never gets on the furniture except when I help him onto my lap. He would need a home where stairs are not a constant requirement. He is a long basset and I think since his back surgery he does not have the flexibility that he once had. He is a VERRRY nice boy. He likes to be where ever you are and quietly and patiently will follow you about. He likes to be outside in the yard and sniff everything! He is housetrained and shown to be trustworthy in his foster home.
